VISA 188B – INVESTOR STREAM

Investor Stream – Permanent

This is a temporary residency visa with conditions for experienced investors who have a high financial capacity and meet the requirements to invest in Investment Funds approved by the Australian Government with a minimum investment of 2,500,000 AUD, equivalent to 42,5 billion VND.

In addition, investors, along with their spouse and children, will be granted the 888B Permanent Resident Visa when they meet the requirements set by the Australian Department of Home Affairs.

BENEFIT

The primary applicant, along with their spouse and children under 23 years old, will be granted a temporary residency visa for Australia for a period of 5 years.

Children of the primary applicant can receive free education at public schools from grade 1 to grade 12.

The entire family will have the freedom to travel between Vietnam and Australia within the validity period of the 188B visa without requiring any other visa.

There is an opportunity to improve English language skills with up to 510 hours of free English language courses.

There is a chance to be granted the 888B Permanent Resident Visa if the applicant meets all business and residency requirements as stipulated by the Australian Department of Home Affairs.

Investors will receive interest from their investment without needing to directly operate the business.

REQUIREMENT

For the capacity of the primary applicant:

    • The primary applicant must be between 18-55 years old.
    • The primary applicant must have at least 3 years of investment/business experience and a high financial capacity.
    • Score a minimum of 65 points on the Australian immigration points system and be sponsored by one of the Australian states or territories.
    • The primary applicant and their spouse must have a minimum asset value of 2,500,000 AUD, equivalent to 42,5 billion VND.

For the company and business experience in Australia and Vietnam:

    • Directly manage the business and own at least 10% of the shares or demonstrate that the investor is directly managing an investment valued at 2,500,000 AUD, equivalent to 42,5 billion VND, and has generated profits from that investment for at least 1 financial year (within the last 5 financial years).

This is a permanent residency visa for entrepreneurs who already hold the 188B visa, which is a “long-term version of the 188B visa” to continue their investment activities in Investment Funds in Australia.

The spouse and children under 23 years old (at the time of visa grant) of the primary applicant can become permanent residents, along with the opportunity to hold dual citizenship of Australia and Vietnam.

BENEFIT

The entire family has the freedom to live, work, and study in all states and territories throughout Australia.

Children of the primary applicant can receive free education at public schools from grade 1 to grade 12.

The entire family is entitled to full healthcare and social welfare benefits as Australian citizens, except for voting rights.

They are allowed to freely travel between Vietnam and Australia.

There is an opportunity for the entire family to obtain Australian citizenship when meeting all business and residency requirements.

CONDITION

The primary applicant must have resided in Australia for at least 2 cumulative years within the last 3 years prior to applying for the 888B permanent residency visa, and the 188B temporary residency visa must still be valid.

The primary applicant must maintain the investment amount of 2,500,000 AUD, equivalent to 42,5 billion VND, for the 5-year period of the 188B temporary residency visa, with specific conditions as follows:

    • At least 500,000 AUD, equivalent to 8,5 billion VND, invested in a venture capital fund for start-ups or small private companies.
    • At least 750,000 AUD, equivalent to 13 billion VND, invested in approved managed funds to invest in emerging companies listed on the stock exchange.
    • At least 1,250,000 AUD, equivalent to 21 billion VND, invested in balanced funds to invest in companies already listed on the stock exchange.
