Accordingly, the Australia Awards (AAS) scholarship will be awarded to Vietnamese citizens working in state agencies, lecturers, researchers, employees of non-governmental organizations, and Vietnamese companies to pursue a Master’s program at Australian universities in 2024.
Priority study areas for Vietnamese candidates include: economic management and development, infrastructure and transportation, education, gender equality, agriculture and rural development, energy – energy conversion, innovation (technology transfer, commercialization), health (including cooperation in the field of vaccines, research, strengthening the healthcare system, and courses serving Vietnam’s post-Covid-19 recovery), cybersecurity (including cybercrime, network technology standards, international standards for cyberspace, digital transformation, and infrastructure).
Scholarship recipients will be entitled to the following benefits: round-trip airfare, initial one-time stability allowance upon arrival in Australia, full tuition fees, living expenses support, preparatory study program, health insurance for international students during their study period, additional study support, and field research grants (for research-based Master’s students and credit-based Master’s students with mandatory field research components).
It is known that this scholarship also encourages the participation of female candidates, persons with disabilities, ethnic minorities, individuals living in difficult rural areas, and those belonging to disadvantaged economic and social groups. Candidates are assessed based on their leadership qualities, academic achievements, and their ability to contribute to the development challenges of Vietnam, while promoting the relationship between Vietnam and Australia.
The selection process is as follows: The preliminary round will select valid and outstanding applications. Only candidates who pass the preliminary round will be invited for an interview.
