Australia is renowned for its high-quality wines production, boasting many famous wine regions like Barossa Valley, Margaret River, and Hunter Valley. Notably, Melbourne, Victoria, has established itself as a prime location for Australian wineries, distinguished by a variety of grape varieties, advanced cultivation techniques, and secretive production methods. The perfect blend of a temperate climate and fertile soil has created excellent wines that are cherished not only domestically but also worldwide.

In this industry, St. Anne’s Winery has emerged as a symbol of sophistication and artistry in winemaking. With over 40 years of experience in viticulture and winemaking in the Myrniong, Melbourne, St. Anne’s has solidified its position among the top 10 Australian wineries and has been honored with prestigious awards such as the Jimmy Watson Trophy, Royal Melbourne Wine Awards, and Sydney International Wine Competition. The decision to launch St. Anne’s wines in the Vietnamese market marks a significant milestone and a successful strategic partnership between Bluewise and St. Anne’s Winery.

As the strategic partner and brand ambassador, Mr. Le Thanh Tung, CEO of Bluewise Group, has played a pivotal role in guiding St. Anne’s entry into the Vietnamese market. Bluewise and St. Anne’s jointly organized a series of wine tasting events in July 2022 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, providing customers with the opportunity to directly taste and experience the distinct flavors of each wine. The event attracted significant interest from experts and wine enthusiasts, garnering positive feedback and paving the way for the importation of wines that align with Vietnamese market preferences.

Despite facing numerous challenges in competing with long-established global wine brands in Vietnam, St. Anne’s, with the support and market entry strategies of Mr. Le Thanh Tung, has successfully grasped the needs, preferences, and habits of Vietnamese consumers. In August 2024, Bluewise and St. Anne’s are delighted to introduce six exceptional wines to Vietnamese consumers:

  1. Anne’s Old Oak Tawny: A blend of red grapes including Shiraz, Cabernet, and Mourvedre. The grapes, harvested at peak ripeness, are predominantly grown in the warm Perricoota region. The wine undergoes fermentation with Australian Brandy and is aged in French oak barrels for 5-10 years, resulting in a rich and sophisticated flavor.
  2. Anne’s Perricoota Chardonnay: The Chardonnay vines, planted in 1993, produce consistently high-quality fruit. Harvested at night to preserve delicate flavors, the juice is quickly extracted and fermented, then aged in Eastern European oak barrels for six months.
  3. Anne’s Shiraz: Grown near the Murray River, the Shiraz grapes thrive in clay-rich soil, leading to robust characteristics. After a meticulous fermentation process, the wine is aged in American oak barrels for 12 months, adding complexity and depth.
  4. Anne’s Merlot: Merlot grapes are cultivated north of the Murray River, yielding bright red, small berries. The juice undergoes a 14-day fermentation followed by aging in French oak barrels for 12 months, creating a wine with natural flavors and depth.
  5. Anne’s Sparkling Brut: Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from Perricoota, the juice is slowly fermented at low temperatures to retain pure flavors, resulting in a delightful fruity taste.
  6. Anne’s Sparkling Shiraz: Utilizing traditional fermentation techniques, this wine has a deep purple color with plum and blueberry flavors. It pairs perfectly with cheese or as a refreshing appetizer.

St. Anne’s prioritizes a sophisticated design style that resonates with the visual and taste preferences of Asian consumers, making their wines not only ideal for enjoying at gatherings but also perfect as gifts for special occasions.

With its proven reputation and quality, St. Anne’s wines are sure to satisfy even the most discerning customers, offering a fresh and exciting experience.
